Editor’s Corner: October 2014

It’s been quite an exciting year here at South Shore Living. Highlights have included celebrating our 10-year anniversary (yay!) and joining forces with the talented multimedia team at Lighthouse Media Solutions. We had a fun-packed summer spent visiting the region’s hottest swimming holes, bed and breakfasts and shopping spots, not to mention eating our way around the region’s newest dining destinations. Personally, my summer was made extra special by the birth of my precious son, Dominic.

SouthShoreLiving_Oct14We’ve now entered what is quite possibly my favorite time of year for exploring the main streets and back roads of the South Shore. The air is crisp and the beaches are tranquil, traversed only by the occasional dog walker or beachcomber. Things haven’t slowed down for us at the magazine though. Most recently our team has been getting to know up and coming oyster farmers and appreciating all the delicious flavors served up at harvest food and wine festivals. Our October issue includes a look inside an interior designer’s home and stylish back-to-school fashions.

Looking to the months ahead, you’ll want to make sure you flip through our November issue’s annual Gift Guide. You can also read about a magnificent team of Clydesdales and a community of Mayflower decedents. We’re currently hard at work putting the final touches on the December issue, which is filled with helpful tips for holiday decorating and planning the perfect holiday cocktail party. After all, what better way is there to celebrate a milestone year then by raising a glass with family and friends? Cheers!
